Kings of Leon will launch the second leg of
their nationwide U.S. tour this fall with LA rock trio and RCA Records
label-mates Black Rebel Motorcycle Club as their very special guests.
The Tennessee-based Kings of Leon -- brothers Caleb, Nathan, and Jared
Followill, and their first cousin Matthew -- are touring in support of
their critically acclaimed third album Because Of The Times, which was
released by RCA Records on April 3rd While on tour, Kings of Leon will
make a special stop at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago on August
5th and headline New York City's prestigious Radio City Music Hall on
September 19th. Currently confirmed tour dates are listed below with
more announcements to follow. Coming off their sold out spring tour,
which was bookended by main stage appearances at April's Coachella
Valley Music and Arts Festival and June's Bonnaroo Music and Arts
Festival, Kings of Leon deliver "a rock-affirming thrill ride," as one
critic put it. Another reviewer has praised them for developing "a
muscular, sophisticated sound to go along with their increasingly
textured songwriting." Indeed Because Of The Times, Kings of Leon's
first album since 2004's breakthrough Aha Shake Heartbreak, is the
Followills' most diverse collection yet, and represents a major leap
forward both in songwriting and musical prowess. It has received
glowing reviews from many major media outlets including Entertainment
Weekly, Esquire, Associated Press, Alternative Press, Filter, and
Rolling Stone, which asks in its four-star review: "How good can the
Kings of Leon get? On Because Of The Times, they've already gone
further than anybody could have guessed."
