It Dies Today Fall Tour
 

It Dies Today have added another tour to their non-stop summer road pounding! The band will head out early this fall with Atreyu and Haste the Day, beginning in the middle of September. The tour is starting almost immediately following their current tour with Kittie, and the band is excited to be playing two very large, but very different tours back to back, tells vocalist Jason Wood. "The tour with Kittie just started, but I can tell it's going to be great. The bands are super nice and it's great to be on tour with a band that we grew up listening to." It Dies Today is similarly psyched for the Atreyu tour because, as Wood tells, "This is the first tour we have done in over a year with a band within our genre of metalcore! We have been on so many diverse tours recently, and we're excited to play to our home scene." The largest diverse tour the band was on recently was this summer's Warped Tour, and Wood summarizes it as an interesting experience, to say the least. "Warped Tour was nothing short of ridiculous. It felt almost like punk rock summer camp, where you are active outside all day with people of your general age range. These people happened to be bands who we ended up bonding with, especially with Bayside and Anberlin, who we are all fans of but would have never toured with normally! And then it was like summer camp when it was over, we were all so sad to be leaving!" The tour went well with one slight hitch in Cleveland due to Mother Nature. "In Cleveland we witnessed the most insane lightning storm I have ever seen in my entire life. We all thought we were going to die, literally. There were 70 mile an hour wind storms, 5 inches of rain in 45 minutes, and 145 strikes of lightning. I saw lightning strike the ground 100 yards from me, and then I saw the Myspace tent fly away." The band survived to tell the tale, and had much success on Warped, including their summer long raffle to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The raffle prizes include Fernandez Guitars and Burton Snowboards gear, as well as It Dies Today merch and limited edition T-shirts, and will continue through the tour with Kittie.
