
- Friday’s Disney Channel debut of Zac Efron’s High School Musical 2 brought in 17.24 million viewers, making the sequel to last year’s blockbuster made-for-TV musical a bona fide hit. According to reports, these figures put HSM2 ahead of any other show from Friday night by ten million viewers.
- Inspired by her recent visa problems, Lily Allen dedicated a performance of “Everything is Wonderful” to “U.S. immigration officials and George Bush,” at this weekend’s V Fest just after those legal issues forced her to cancel her upcoming U.S. concert dates, including an appearance at MTV’s Video Music Awards.
- No Doubt has posted on the Web a behind-the-scenes video clip from their reunion earlier this year at one of Gwen Stefani’s solo gigs.
- CBS is reportedly picking up six episodes of Man, starring LL Cool J as an undercover LAPD officer who cares for an orphaned boy. The show would air as a mid-season replacement for the upcoming TV season.
