The Ladies of The Donnas Release Bitchin’ On Their Very Own Imprint, Announce Fall 2007 Dates

“The Donnas sound like a cross between Kiss and the Go-Go’s and in true Almost Famous spirit, they use their male groupies as subjects for their predatory party anthems” – New York Times
“They’re like the best party band at the best party you can imagine.” – Blender
“Tight and cocky, the collective musical chemistry between the four Donnas and their instruments is a force to be reckoned with.” – Rolling Stone
The Donnas are back and, well, more bitchin’ then ever. After fourteen years and seven major albums, The Donnas are launching their very own imprint, Purple Feather Records (available through Redeye Distribution). The band is kicking off this exciting new venture with the release of the full-length album, Bitchin’, out September 18th. For promo copies, please e-mail HERE.
Bitchin’ is already receiving glowing reviews and first peeks from the major outlets, including Billboard, Spin, Pitchfork, Alternative Press, Harp and more. We certainly can’t help but agree with the writers—these ass-kicking ladies show no mercy, creating some of their best-ever balls out [sic.], tongue-in-cheek rock tunes. This album will no doubt be a party favorite, with the single “Don’t Wait Up For Me”, already garnering massive attention. The song made its debut on Rollingstone.com last week, and has since become a hot item across the web.
The Donnas also just announced dates for an exciting fall North American tour. Please e-mail HERE if you’re interested in attending a show. As those who have been to Donnas gigs know—these girls can rock arenas with ease. Luckily, this tour will feature the band mostly in large clubs, so be prepared to have your face rocked off. This is one bitchin’ tour!
