- A Malawian official is set to visit Madonna in early September to evaluate whether she and her husband will be able to adopt David Banda. The proceedings hit a snag last month after the Malawian government denied the welfare services representative permission to travel due to suspicion he had asked the singer to pay for his transportation; the rep denied the accusations.
