Courtney Love Says of Amy Winehouse ?Even I Wasn?t That Bad,? Rob Zombie Shatters Box

 
  • Rob Zombie’s Halloween has shattered Labor Day weekend box-office records, taking in $26.5 million in the U.S. and Canada through Sunday, according to an MGM Studios rep. Zombie’s retelling of the 1978 classic beats previous record holder, 2005’s Transporter 2, by $10 million.
  • A post on Neil Young’s official site reveals his upcoming Chrome Dreams II will include tracks from one of his earliest recordings taped at the Riverboat, the Toronto coffeehouse where he played gigs following Buffalo Springfield’s breakup. Different selections will accompany Chrome at various retailers, while a more complete version will become disc one of Young’s Archives Volume 1 early next year.
  • Bruce Springsteen will release Magic on vinyl September 25, a week before the album is available in other formats, making it eligible for nomination consideration in the 50th Grammy Awards (the deadline for which is September 30th).
  • A Canadian man has been sadly told he will never walk again following an incident at a July Bon Jovi show in Edmonton at which another man fell on him during a scuffle over a spilled drink.
