British rock trio FICTION PLANE have just announced a further two headline shows in the UK to take place in-between their shows with The Police....the first in Birmingham TOMORROW !!
Having been on tour with The Police around the world for the majority of this year, the guy's finally hit home turf this week for a few shows before heading to Europe, then head back this way for more UK shows in October.
Their new album 'Left Side Of The Brain', released in august, has been causing quite a stir and they've had numerous TV appearances in all the country's they've played, including a chat on BBC1's Breakfast Show this morning !
Singer and bassist, Joe Sumner, is no stranger to rock n roll, being the son of Sting, and though he has spent a large part of his life shying away from the connection, wanting to make it as a credible musician off his own back, being offered the opening slot on the biggest tour in the world at the moment was just too much to turn down...."I just figured if it's gonna happen anyway, I might as well take full advantage. I think we're ready, we've got a great band and great songs."
