PATRICK WOLF ANNOUNCES US TOUR DATES, PREPARES DIGITAL MINI-RELEASE
After a summer of festival performances in every corner of the globe, 23 year old English wunderkind Patrick Wolf is returning to North America this fall, for a 13 date stretch of shows beginning September 30 in Philadelphia and wrapping up a few weeks later in Los Angeles. The trek comes in support of Wolf's 2007 album, The Magic Position, which was released on May 1st of this year to a cavalcade of press praise and adoration. As Pitchfork noted yesterday, in keeping with Wolf's staunch anti-age-restricted show stance, nearly all of these upcoming gigs are all ages – save the San Francisco date.
In addition, Patrick is preparing a digital-only mini-single for a late September release. Included in the bundle will be the triumphant title track from Magic Position, a rarity called "The Marriage," and a two-song epic called "Augustin/Secret Garden II."
