Even though their upcoming album is barely in the can, Jimmy Eat World is back in the studio recording some more material. The band made the announcement on their blog:

We now have to hunker down into our studio once again (it seems we can't escape it) to record some more goodies. As I type, we are recording a new version of "Your House" that we did on the last U.S. run. drums, bass and acoustic guitar are all laid down and it sounds really cool so far. It's kind of fun to bring back an older song and re-imagine it to a certain extent. we are racking our brains for good cover ideas [too].

The band's new record, Chase This Light, is due out October 16, 2007
