Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters Tracks Coming to ESPN, Trick Daddy Arrested, ?Guitar Hero

 
  • ESPN is the new Starbucks. The sports network is branching out musically and will broadcast new songs from acts like Foo Fighters and Kid Rock during Monday Night Football games. Last nights MNF featured snippets of Kanye Wests “Stronger” and “The Good Life,” and next weeks Eagles/Redskins game will feature Eddie Vedders “Rise” and “Hard Sun,” from his Pearl Jam-less soundtrack for Sean Penns film Into the Wild.
  • Rapper Trick Daddy was arrested early this morning after being involved in a brawl at Broward County strip club Tootsies Lounge. Trick suffered minor injuries in the fight, and is being held on a $1,500 bond for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest.
  • It happened over three and a half years ago, but the battle over Janet Jacksons “wardrobe malfunction” is still waging on in a Philadelphia court today as CBS and the FCC continue to argue whether or not CBS should be held financially responsible for the inadvertent nipple slip.

  • The Weather Reports Joe Zawinul, who performed with Miles Davis on Bitches Brew and In A Silent Way, died today in Vienna after a bout with a rare form of skin cancer. Zawinul was named Down Beat magazines keyboardist of the year thirty times, including this year.
