Pink-haired punk rock preteens! Horses galloping across the Irish(?) countryside! A semi-nude dude in his bedroom, um, rocking out?! That’s the sort of fare we’ve seen in the Les Savy Fav video contest that kicked off last month. But with the release of the Brooklyn art-punks latest full-length, Let’s Stay Friends, looming, the contest is drawing to a close. Get your last-minute entries in before the record’s release on September 18th. In the meantime, check out some of the competition (we’re technically not allowed to have a favorite…but we do – can you guess which one?)!
In other news, the mash-up masterminds over at The Hood Internet have worked their magic on one of the lead singles from Let’s Stay Friends. “What Would Devin Do?” is a mash-up of Devin The Dude’s ultra-chill “What A Job” (which also features Andre 3000 and Snoop) and the Fav’s propulsive “What Would Wolves Do.” Give it a listen yourself below:
