Brian Wilson May Hit the Studio, White Stripes Nix More Dates, Target Launches David

 
  • After finding success on Londons Royal Festival Hall stage, Brian Wilson is hoping to record his new work That Lucky Old Sun in the studio. The piece, which features a collaboration with Van Dyke Parks, features “full songs” in the vein of the Beach Boys Pet Sounds and Wilsons epic Smile.
  • Retailer Target will celebrate their new David Bowie-inspired clothing line by releasing an exclusive six-song Bowie EP, which hints at four future Bowie releases (Santa Monica 72, Nassau Live ‘76 and special editions of Low and Hunky Dory).
  • RS Breaking Artist the National will cover Bruce Springsteens “Mansion on the Hill” from Nebraska for the B-side of their new single “Apartment Story.”
