
Twenty-five-year-old singer-songwriter Jens Lekman spikes Seventies-AM-radio-inspired pop with big-band fanfare. The Swedish Lekman croons in a Morrissey-esque baritone, but the ornate string-and-horn arrangments on his October 9th album Night Falls Over Kortedala are pure Barry Manilow (in a good way).
