Grace Period have posted an update explaining the reasoning behind Jeff being listed as a touring musician on the band's myspace. Their new self-titled album will be available on November 27th through Smartpunk.

ive been getting alot of messages about why i was listed as a touring musician. my contract with drive-thru records states that any new band i start, the label has first rights to. i was actually in violation of my contract for being a member of another band without permission.. which sucks alot.. but those are the rules. so between my talks with the label, i had to be listed as a touring member. a touring member can do everything a band member does, but when it comes down to the paper work.. theyre not a part of the band. at that point, i legally couldnt be a part of this band.. all i could do was tour and play shows.
to make a long story short.. we worked out a compromise and everything was settled. everyone is happy, their are no grudges, everyone gets what they want.
i honestly feel amazing right now. reason being.. i have a fresh start. you start a new band and you want everything to be new again. you dont want ties to anything or anyone. now i have that and i couldnt be happier.
now for cooler news.. we will be releasing our first self-titled album on november 27th through smartpunk.com!! we are extremley excited to finally announce a date. pre-orders for the record will start at the end of october.
now some of you might be like.. what the hell, thats two months away.. give me the cd or ill stab you blah blah blah. to be honest, the reason we set this for a late november release was because we are poor. no seriously.. artwork for our record isnt even done yet.. and the whole month of october is going to be busy because of steves wedding.
heres what works out for us the best..
- artwork is finished by the end of september
- steve gets married and goes on honeymoon in october
- record will be pressed in time for november
- record will be in your hands by the end of november
- shows will begin in november
and thats that. take these two months to brainwash your friends into liking grace period. even if they think our band is dog shit and hates our guts.. its your job to turn them. deal? sounds like a deal. thanks for hanging on. im so pumped im gonna punch my dog in the face.
