Mick Jagger Joins Chorus of Concerned Amy Winehouse Supporters

In a statement that sounds eerily similar to Ozzy Osbourne’s expression of concern about Britney Spears’ well-being, Mick Jagger says Amy Winehouse is “a brilliant artist who makes fantastic music,” but “Im worried she might die if she goes down the road that she has taken.” The troubled British singer was supposed to tour with the Rolling Stones but had to cancel after a suspected overdose landed her in rehab in August. “It would have been full circle for the Stones, as she is like some of these classic soul singers from the past that inspired us,” Jagger says of the planned pairing. “If only she would sort herself out. It is hard as your mind has to make that switch. If my mind had not always told me that I should not do too much I could have ended up like Amy years ago. But I always had that voice in my head that kept me on my toes and told me to stop altogether in the end. I realized I didnt want to die young.”
