Saves the Day Announce DVD Saves the Day announce the release of their exclusive in-the-studio DVD, out this fall with the new album Under the Boards (Vagrant). Providing a rare window inside the making of the new album, this special DVD is over 75 minutes long and takes fans inside the studio as the band records their sixth LP. In anticipation of the release, Saves the Day will release a series of trailers and clips this October allowing fans to catch an early glimpse of the band behind studio doors. “We really put a lot of ourselves into these songs,” says frontman Chris Conley of Saves the Day. “After spending time writing, playing and recording them, we’re psyched to get the music out for everyone to hear. I think these are some of the most personal tracks we’ve recorded and it was also the most fun experience we’ve had recording so far.” Continuing their journey of storytelling through their albums with last year’s Sound The Alarm release, Under The Boards connects the album trilogy that will conclude with the final album, DayBreak, to be released next year. The inside scoop will be for fans going into the making of Under The Boards with the accompanying DVD. Each album culminates a specific message and mood. Conley said, “Sound The Alarm is an expression of discontent. Under The Boards is reflection and remorse. Daybreak is acceptance.” The band – original members Conley and David Soloway (guitar) along with Manuel Carrero (bass) and Durijah Lang (drums) – co-produced the 13 songs with Marc Hudson and Eric Stenman at their Electric Ladybug studio in northern California.
