  • The Wu-Tang Clan’s claim to have cleared a Beatles sample for their Dhani Harrison and John Frusciante-featuring 8 Diagrams track built around a guitar line from “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” is a bit flawed, the group is now clarifying. The two guitarists play a bit of the Beatles song on the Wu track (as first reported in Rolling Stone in early August), but no original master samples are used.
  • Isaac Hanson, the oldest member of the sibling trio, is in stable condition at a Texas hospital after suffering a pulmonary embolism — a painful condition that results when a blood clot originating in the arms or legs travels towards the lungs. The band canceled a show last night in Tulsa, OK.
  • The final track listing has been released for Guitar Hero III, which now includes Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love” and Santana’s “Black Magic Woman.” Full list of playable songs after the jump.
  • Don Imus is in talks with Citadel Broadcasting, the owner of ABC Radio, which indicates the controversial personality’s return to the airwaves may not be far off and will not be on satellite radio. Reports predict he could be back on the air as early as next year.
  • R. Kelly’s reps denied he was going on a winter tour when Keyshia Cole recently slipped up and mentioned one, but Kelly is indeed heading out this winter, with Cole, J. Holiday and Ne-Yo on a thirty-nine-date arena trek that starts November 14th in Columbus, GA. According to MTV News, the singer has yet to receive permission from the court to tour (his upcoming child pornography trial in Chicago has been delayed yet again). Dates after the jump.
