House of Brothers, contrary to anything the name may suggest, is the new solo project from Andrew Jackson, former member of highly acclaimed UK hardcore mob The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg. Taking a drastic change in direction from the spazzy-mathy sounds of before, House of Brothers music is filled with beauty. The clever guitar lines, sometimes haunting/other times fantastically uplifting strings, infectious handclaps and gentle vocals combine in a way that will have you completely hooked right from the off. For lazy comparisons see Elliott Smith, Owen and Fionn Regan, for something uniquely beautifuly, you're only going to find it here. The sound of 2008.
