Here is today's daily contest hint:

For the longest time, I wanted to play that guitar-keyboard thing, but I knew that I needed the right look for it to bring out the best in me. I don’t have any of the things an AP member said was essential. Tay let me borrow one of the things but it was about six and a half months too late. I still appreciate it though. The other thing is just absurd, what is this…1992? I give up!

What things do I need to effectively rock with this instrument and who said it? The first person to respond in this thread with the correct answer wins.
