Grace Period have been forced to change the name of their band.
Message From The Bandi have some important news. unfortunatly my band, grace period has been forced to change our name due to the fact that "the grace period" is already a band and is registered with the library of congress. for the people who care.. im so sorry. i checked on this band name when i started the project and saw nothing. i just recently i found out there was already a band named "the grace period". since i was this far ahead doing promo and hadnt heard anything.. i assumed that the band broke up. so i continued to go ahead as scheduled. it was careless and really stupid. the one / most important thing i didnt take care of was to get the rights to my own bands name.. and it just so happens that its not my band after all.
this is the roughest part. i dont know if our myspace account will be deleted or not.. im trying to get everything situated and atleast let people know whats going on before we get killed off. the hardest part is thinking of a new band name in time for everything to go as planned. as of right now the release date is still november 27th and will be released through smartpunk.com as scheduled. we are trying our hardest to get our album artwork redone, everything copywriten, and all of our band accounts switched over so we can stay on track. one thing that really sucks is that we have a song intro on our record where were introduced as "grace period". so even thats going to be a pain in the ass because the record is already mastered. obviously.. this sucks big time, and the last thing i want to do is push back this release. im not going to dick around this. you guys have waited patiently.. and we need to deliver. were gonna bust our ass so we can get this all done for you in time. again.. i take full blame and am truley sorry. its probly more discouraging for us rather than you guys anyway.
