After spending the past couple of months holed up in an Atlanta studio working on their full-length (expected in March), Atlanta, GA’s Morning State will be playing four shows during CMJ week, including a day party at The Delancey on Thursday to be recorded by Break Thru Radio, The MuseBox / Paper TV party Thursday night at Orchard Bar, the indie outlaw and After the Jump show Friday at the Annex, and…. A VIP late night party with Pitchfork wunderband Black Kids, and Peter and Bjorn (of PB & J, of course!).

Friday, Daytime: The Annex @ 5:00 PM (indie outlaw and After the Jump: “North Vs. South Showdown”) ***With a FREE Circoc Vodka pour five minutes prior to every set!
Saturday, Late Night: Galapagos @ 12:15 AM (w/ Peter and Bjorn, Black Kids, and Zambri)
Morning State is a four-piece melodic indie rock act that started in Athens, later heading to Atlanta. The band’s Retreat !!! EP has received great national attention in the past year, with the single “Spectacular”, mixed by Ben Allen (of Gnarls Barkley fame) hitting at the same time as a certain tune called “Crazy”.
