City and Colour Releases Sophomore Studio Album “Bring Me Your Love” Los Angeles, CA – Tuesday, December 4th, 2007 - Juno-award winning City and Colour (Dallas Green of Alexisonfire) will release the much anticipated sophomore studio album “Bring Me Your Love” on February 12, 2008 via Vagrant Records for the first time as a non-import U.S. release. Co-produced by Dan Achen (Junkhouse) and recorded at Catherine North Studio, “Bring Me Your Love” delivers Green’s signature delicate vocals accompanying another set of candid musings, which continue to articulate his engaging perspective on love and life. A throwback to the days when an album’s thrills and beauty were found not just in exceptional songs and musicianship, but also in its blemishes and simplicity, the instruments and vocals for “Bring Me Your Love” were carefully recorded live off the floor, giving the songs depth and intimacy, and eschewing the cut-and-paste approach that is so common in today’s recordings. “Bring Me Your Love” features Canadian Music Hall of Famer Gordon Downie of the Tragically Hip, who adds his distinctive vocals to “Sleeping Sickness.” Appearances by friends and label mates Dan Romano and Spencer Burton (Attack in Black) are a reminder that these are an entirely new collection of songs, written during a very prolific year. Green, who until a couple of years ago was better know as the dulcet voice of Alexisonfire, released his debut album “Sometimes” in 2005. A culmination of music that Green had been writing for over a decade, the album achieved Platinum certification in 2006, surpassing any expectations he had. Remaining sincere and affable, Green gave a heartfelt performance at the 2006 MuchMusic Video Awards, where City and Colour won the People’s Choice Favourite Canadian Artist award. In 2007, Green performed live on the JUNOS, (Canada’s Grammys), taking home the award for Alternative Album of The Year. Green has also been a guest vocalist on records from Every Time I Die and The Dear & Departed. Green continues to demonstrate his talents as a musician, singer and songwriter moving comfortably and seamlessly between City and Colour and his role anchoring a successful post-hardcore band. The dozen tracks on “Bring Me Your Love” are a beautiful insight into the quieter side of an undisputed talent. For the past year and a half, Dallas has been on the road in the US with Alexisonfire touring with bands such as Senses Fail, Anti-Flag, Saosin and more. City and Colour will perform at Soundwave in Australia, February 2008. A cross-Canada tour is planned for the Spring 2008 and US dates to be announced shortly.
