GOD DETHRONED change drummers & preview on upcoming album!
GOD DETHRONED announce a change of drummers. Speaks mainman Henri Sattler: “A little while ago our long time drummer Arien van Weesenbeek announced he would join the ranks of Dutch gothic metal rockers Epica, leaving us no other choice than to let him go. We do understand his career move and we wish him all the best of luck for the future. We will play a farewell show with Arien on March 28th at the Mezz club in Breda, Holland. At the same time we are happy to announce the return of Roel Sanders, our drummer on the ‘The Grand Grimoire’ and ‘Bloody Blasphemy’ albums! Roel left GOD DETHRONED in the summer of 2000, but this time he's back to stay with us till the end. Some of you may also know him as the drummer for Inhume (and don't worry, he will continue with that band, too). Soon we will start the writing process of a new album with the working title “Passiondale”. An epic tale about World War I. Musically the new album will be a mix between ‘Bloody Blasphemy’ and ‘Lair of the White Worm’, so better buckle up fellas! Also a bunch of new shows and festivals are in the works.

HAIL OF BULLETS ready to enter the studio!

HAIL OF BULLETS will enter Excess studios in Rotterdam, Holland in February to begin recording their debut album for a May release via Metal Blade Records.

Comments drummer Ed Warby: "Yesterday we had our last band rehearsal before we enter the studio. Worked out some final arrangements and played the last two songs we wrote for the first time. One is the epic closer to the album (we'll have fun building this one up in the studio), and another is the proposed bonus track; a groovy beast of a tune that actually has a dual guitar solo in it. Martin couldn't attend, so we'll leave the vocal fine-tuning for the studio. I'm also working on a nice, moody intro for the album. Some strings, some bombs... it's turning out a lot cooler than I expected; God bless ProTools! Meanwhile our creative department is hard at work on putting together the artwork, it's starting to look very promising indeed. And finally we're close to securing a U.S. deal... more information will follow shortly."
HAIL OF BULLETS' entire four-song promotional CD is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page

LIZZY BORDEN post new videoclip online!

California-based metallers LIZZY BORDEN have released the video for their song "Tomorrow Never Comes". The clip, which was shot in September 2007 on location in downtown Los Angeles with director Kevin Mcvey, was previously described as "a haunted little tale."
Comments frontman Lizzy Borden: "We had an amazing cast of characters performing in this mini-film, along with a great crew guiding us through our goal of over 90 shots. I think you all are going to love this tale of 'the lost one' in a 'Twilight Zone' episode."

"Tomorrow Never Comes" is the first video from the band's latest album, "Appointment with Death", which was released November, 5th via Metal Blade Records. Appearing in the clip are bandmembers Lizzy Borden, Joey Scott, Marten Andersson and Ira Black.

THE OCEAN looking for live cello and/or viola player!
The Berlin, Germany collective THE OCEAN is recruiting new musicians! ”We are looking for a long-term live cello player for upcoming tours in Europe and the US and possible future recording sessions.
What we're looking for is a skilled musician with good intonation; someone who can read sheet music and has classical training but also the rock / metal background and understanding that is inevitable in order to enjoy long tours and life on the road - ideally, someone who can play both cello and viola and switch between these instruments.

As much as we love acoustic instruments, our past experiences have taught us that in a live environment the only thing that works is an E-cello. If you're interested or know anyone who might be, please write an email to info@theoceancollective.com

Obviously we are extremely disappointed. Live and learn."

In other news Chris Barnes (SIX FEET UNDER) has officially parted ways with the Finish death metal band. "I am no longer involved with, or a member of, the band TORTURE KILLER," says Barnes in a statement. "The split is mutual; it was just time for me to move forward. I wish the band well in all future plans and musical endeavors.
