Los Angeles, CA. February 5, 2008 - Where is that place where dreams meet reality? Where life becomes so aware of its desire to thrive that it creates a hunger insatiable? This place is the birthplace of Another Day Late. The members of Another Day Late (ADL) envisioned their destiny and commanded the road in front of them. 364 days after Another Day Late moved from New York to Los Angeles, they had a record deal with B& Recordings/Doghouse and are set to release their debut LP News Said It’s Raining In New York on March 25th, 2008. Soon after landing in California but prior to having a record deal, Another Day Late won the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, and were thus chosen to play Warped Tour; then were chosen to play the Honda Civic Tour with Fall Out Boy in San Diego; then Hubberman (Drums), who had been working at PacSun, successfully pitched to company executives his idea for an official PacSun tour, which is currently featuring Another Day Late along with the Audition, Envy on the Coast and Danger Radio, bringing ADL’s music to both a national stage and into PacSun’s 1,000-plus stores. It’s easy to see how the band’s rabid fan base was formed solely as a result of their energetic live show and DIY approach. The key to Another Day Late’s cross-genre musical fusion is the band’s highly collaborative writing process. Guitarist Kircher, who’s the band’s official tone fanatic and all-around mad genius, often starts things off with one of his many ideas, which then become further crystallized once Talbott (Guitar), Philipps (Bass) and Hubberman start incorporating their own input. The final component comes from singer, Kohl Hegman. His lyrical style and high-registry vocals, both viscerally powerful and intricately beautiful, soar over the dynamically layered songs. Immediate hits like “Greetings from Nowhere” and “Play On” highlight the band’s ability to write complicated arrangements that are equally catchy. In songs like “Summer Salvo”, Kohl sings about lying under a blanket of explosions in the night sky, his voice climaxes with the same intensity that one would expect from the awe inspiring fireworks display that helped inspire the lyrical content. “We always joke that we’re a gateway drug—we’re a bridge between commercial music and more off-kilter stuff,” explains Hubberman. “We’re right in that really sweet middle ground where we appeal to both of those sides.” News Said It’s Raining In New York is filled with an array of sonic styles and tempos, colored by personal and passionate lyrics. Most recently to be named one of the “100 Bands You Need To Know in 2008” by Alternative Press Magazine, Another Day Late is a band who will continue to impress. Another Day Late Tour Dates
