new game. real guitars.
I guess it was inevitable. With the gigantic success of Guitar Hero, it was only a matter of time before someone made a game that used REAL guitars. 'Guitar Rising' from GameTank is slated for release later this year. The game plays similarly to Guitar Hero, but works with real guitars, and apparently the easier levels of the game teach you how to play it...like real guitar players!
As someone who recently picked up the real thing, feeling somewhat pathetic mastering songs on 'expert' but not knowing a chord from a string (ok, not THAT bad), I am sort of excited about this game coming into existence. I'd be even happier if I didn't have a goddamn acoustic.
The only thing that worries me about this game is even more kids thinking they can be rockstars in real life.
