(Feb. 8, 2008 - New York, NY) Legions of fans across the U.S. and Canada who have been following the odyssey of PlayRadioPlay! over the course of the past year - including a loyal 86,000-plus MySpace friends who have generated more than 9 million plays, over 3.3 million profile views, and about 160,000 listens every week - will have their prayers answered on March 18th with the arrival of TEXAS, PRP's debut album on Island Records.

In advance of the
TEXAS album release, a new single will drop, "Madi Don't Leave," radio add dates and formats to be announced in the weeks ahead. Another new song, "My Attendance Is Bad, But My Intentions Are Good," was added the week before Christmas at PRP's MySpace website, MySpace.com - PlayRadioPlay! - Fort Worth (Aledo/Anetta South), Texas - Indie / Electro / Pop - www.myspace.com/playradioplay - the track logged over 85,000 plays in its first two days out, and received 135 comments and 202 kudos.

TEXAS is the long-awaited follow-up to The Frequency EP, released April 2007. The 6-song EP (with a 7th bonus track) explored the pure pop instincts of 18-year old Daniel Hunter, "a kid from Fort Worth, Texas with a great ear for what makes a good song," as he was described in a blog at Another Form of Relief. Hunter played all the instruments on The Frequency EP, and followed the same formula on many of the TEXAS tracks. Although the EP was self-produced, Hunter collaborated on TEXAS with mega-rock producer Jackknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol, Kasabian).

To date, over 17,000 sales of
The Frequency EP have been scanned, including 5,000 digital downloads. The breakout track, "Confines of Gravity," peaked at #87 on the CMJ Top 200 chart last spring. The video for "Confines of Gravity" won FUSE's "Ovenfresh" show the week of October 15th and is now in rotation on the cable channel's "Steven's Untitled Rock Show."

PlayRadioPlay! will continue to cement his touring fanbase when he hits the road with Yellowcard in March (dates to be announced shortly). He has toured with Fall Out Boy, Anberlin, Meg & Dia and the Spill Canvas, along with summer festival tours including Vans Warped Tour and Cornerstone.
