IDIOT PILOT DROPS SECOND ALBUM TITLED WOLVES - IN STORES TODAY FEBRUARY 12, 2008
DUO FROM BELLINGHAM, WA, TO HIT THE ROAD FOR 2008 ROCKSTAR TASTE OF CHAOS TOUR BEGINNING FEBRUARY 29th
New York, NY - February 12, 2008 -- Idiot Pilot, atmospheric rock duo from Bellingham, WA, are releasing their second album for Reprise Records, titled Wolves, today on February 12, 2008. The album, which was released digitally October 2, 2007 via online retailers, is currently #49 on CMJ's Top 200 chart and was named Top 10 Most Added its first week out.
An album with strong roots in alternative rock and ambient sound, Wolves also blends electronic elements with Anderson and Harris' post-hardcore influences. Produced by Ross Robinson (At The Drive-In, Glassjaw) and co-produced by Mark Hoppus (bassist for +44, Blink-182), the album takes the duo's sound to cinematic levels in both scope and vision, being recommended by Alternative Press who notes "this epic-rock duo's soaring hooks will bounce around your noggin even after you press 'Stop.'"
The band, which consists of longtime friends and bandmates Daniel Anderson and Michael Harris, will hit the road again later this month for the 4th Annual Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour -- the only worldwide lifestyle festival of its kind. Idiot Pilot will join Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bullet For My Valentine, and Bless the Fall on the tour for a coveted performance slot on the second stage.
The Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, scheduled to hit 43 cities in the U.S. and Canada between February and April 2008, begins February 29th in Denver, CO and wraps up near Idiot Pilot's hometown in Seattle, WA, on April 15th. Tickets are on sale now at Rockstar Taste of Chaos.
Idiot Pilot have released the video for their first single "Retina and The Sky," which is currently posted on WBR's YouTube Channel http://youtube.com/user/warnerbrosrecords, on the band's website, Idiot Pilot, and right here:
The single is also included on the soundtrack to the live-action robot fantasy film Transformers, which was released summer 2007.
