DORP release debut single 'Rollercoaster' on April 7 & announce UK tour !!

Politically astute, culturally diverse (two South Africans, one Frenchman and one Londoner!) rock troupe DORP release new single 'Rollercoaster' on April 7 through Caned And Able Records (have a listen at MySpace.com - Dorp - London, UK - Alternative / Rock / Electro - www.myspace.com/dorp )

Taken from their debut album 'Humans Being', due for release in the summer, it was produced by Dave McCracken (Ian Brown, Depeche Mode) and showcases the guys' varied global influences.

They have also just announced a full UK tour in collaboration with the Music Student Network; an organisation which arranges college visits for bands, teaching kids the ways of the music industry and inspiring them to rock 'n' roll !!

DORP's live shows are renowned for being high sensory events, with fast moving, technicolour visual-tracks being projected onto large screens behind them.

Experience it for yourself at one of the following:

Feb
27 London: 229 (Club Fandango)
March:
11th Pressure Point, Brighton.
12th The Welly Club, Hull.
13th WA1, Warrington.
17th Carling Bar Academy, London
18th The Waterfront, Norwich.
19th The Bar, Blackburn.
April:
23rd The Roadhouse, Manchester.
May:
10th Tap & Spile, York.
21st Custard Factory, Birmingham

'Rollercoaster' is accompanied by a phenomenal video in which the band, quite literally, get to fly. How so? By plummeting over and over again in a Boeing 727, 20,000 feet above the earth's surface, allowing them to become weightless! Check it out on all good music channels now!!

DORP are very politically motivated, so politics and society feature largely in their music, although their tongue in cheek attitude keeps it from being soap box material. With tracks on the album commenting on such issues as America's assumed role as sheriff of the world ('Invisible Man') and the ever-increasing celebrity exposure of talentless Hollywood offspring of talented Hollywood parents ('Giggly Moods')...if these guys feel something needs to be said, they'll say it!

The question is...have you the balls to ride the rollercoaster with them!!
