BRAND NEW PANTS - OUT MARCH 11TH (Crunchy Frog Records)
"Wolfkin play music that is as much informed by Phil Spector's Wall of Sound as it is the Beatles, Kraftwerk, and breezy indie-pop melodies." -SPIN
“(Brand New Pants) full of late 60's inspired psychedelic pop songs that fans of The Beatles, The Doors, The Flaming Lips, and Peter Bjorn & John will all love.” – Crashin In.
"Brand New Pants" is an sexually charged journey through the personal fantasia of the two Danes powered by lusty zaps and rapid drums loops.” – URB
“Brand New Pants delivers 13 psychedelic tracks, moving away from the giddy dance beats of Jr. Sr. to delve into something more akin to David Bowie.” – Blackbook

Brand New Pants was written and recorded in both Copenhagen and Mexico City by Lars Vognstrup of Junior Senior and Kristian Godtfredsen of Sleeping Agents.
Set for release on March 11th, this debut certainly has all the right elements, enough to seduce any music fan of the pop persuasion, into the melodic and sometimes murky world of Wolfkin.
Be sure to catch the band when they venture Stateside for a select amount of dates (more TBA) as well as their Official Showcase on March 12th where we’ll also be celebrating their record release in the USA. Come join us, if you happen to be in sunny SXSW!
Pitchfork has been "Wolf'd" too!
"These Are All Illusions", from Wolkin's upcoming Brand New Pants, is a catchy British Invasion-style garage-psych nugget with "Eight Miles High" harmonies and the modal melodies and retro (not retro) production style of that one Peter Bjorn & John song everybody knows how to whistle. Vognstrup previously busied himself with duties for stuttering Danish feet-movers Junior Senior as well as his own band, Money Your Love, while Godtfredsen woke up the neighbors in a band called Sleeping Agents. Like Junior Senior's rock-hugging dance-pop, "These Are Illusions" doesn't have any pretensions to Deep Meaning, but its zoom-in guitars, dreamy piano and harp interludes and the Mysterians-style organ, and buzzing synths could rattle around in your brain long enough for you to forget how the hell you let them in there. In that context, the refrain "It's all in your head" sounds less like nu-psychedelic hoobajoo than a self-fulfilling threat. Wolf'd! " - Pitchfork
