AMON AMARTH continue working on new songs

Swedish Viking heroes AMON AMARTH have issued the following update:
"Back from a two-week vacation we've continued working on new songs for our upcoming release. We have a handful of great songs already, soon-to-be AMON AMARTH classics, and we still have plenty of great song ideas. On March 27th we’re taking a break from the songwriting, heading out to sea, raiding and pillaging (the bars) at the Sweden Rock Cruise."
AMON AMARTH is scheduled to enter Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden in May with producer Jens Bogren to begin recording its new album for a late 2008 release via Metal Blade Records.

CRIMINAL post brand new EPK, announce UK headlining shows

Anglo-Chilean thrash masters CRIMINAL have uploaded a brand new EPK to their YouTube channel. Directed by Roberto Fuentes, the video features live footage from the band's December 2007 performance at Teatro Novedades in Santiago de Chile, as well as an interview with frontman Anton Reisenegger.

In other news, CRIMINAL have lined up two headlining shows in the UK:
Fri 02 May - Colchester - Arts Centre w/ Elimination, Rebirth and one more t.b.c.
Sat 03 May - Braintree - HOG’s w/ Brainchoke and one more t.b.c.

The band is currently busy writing the follow-up to 2005's critically acclaimed "Sicario", which was produced by Andy Classen at Stage One Studios in Bühne, Germany.

THIS ENDING second album officially announced

“We are proud to announce the second THIS ENDING: ‘Dead Harvest’.
We have returned once again to Offbeat Studio with our very own Linus Nirbrant at the controls. The drums have been recorded and we'll be showing you some footage of Fredrik hammering away soon, as well as the other parts of recording later.
The album will contain ten tracks and is slated for release in late 2008 on Metal Blade Records. There will also be a limited edition release! Some song titles that will appear on the album are: “Dead Harvest", "Parasites", "Tools Of Demise" and "Deathtrade".
In other news THIS ENDING also did its live show premier Friday, March 14th in Stockholm, Sweden. A very successful gig where two new songs, "Parasites" and "Deathtrade" were tried out live. Both old and new songs were very well recieved by the crowd.

WHITECHAPEL Update about the new record

“As you may know we’ve currently been in the studio working hard recording our Metal Blade Records debut album. While we’re doing this we figured we could fill you all in on some information about the record.
The title of the record will be "This Is Exile". This title may be familiar to some of you as we had been playing the title track live on our last tour giving you a taste of the material to come.
The effort is being tracked by Jonny Fay (ex-guitarist of The Red Chord) of Backyard Studios in New Hampshire and will be mixed by Zuess (who has produced Ion Dissonance, Emmure, Blood Has Been Shed, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed). With this combination of producers and the new material we have written, we are sure to deliver you one of the heaviest records of 2008.
The artwork is being handled by Colin Marks (who has worked with Aborted, The End, Strapping Young Lad, The Red Death). He is doing a phenomenal job and we are extremely pleased with the outcome of his work. He has done a wonderful job of portraying the concept of the record through his artwork.
The CD will be released EVERYWHERE this summer, so keep your eyes peeled for a release date. The track listing, album artwork, and a brand new track for you all to enjoy will be released this spring.
We love each and every one of you and thank you so much for your continuing support, without all of you we couldn’t be living this dream. “
