By now, surely, you have heard about the Projekt Revolution Tour line up. Can someone please explain to me WHY Chris Cornell and The Bravery are on the main stage but 10 Years is sharing the side stage with Hawthorne ****ing Heights?

First of all, Hawthorne Heights is a really strange choice for this tour. Secondly, Chris Cornell is shlepping a retrospective show, performing his hits from both of his former bands. How pointless. Thirdly, The Bravery? Really?? You mean that fake brit pop band with a mid level hit for a week in 2005? That band???

And 10 Years is on the side stage???

I know how the set up of Projekt Revolution works, and I know the band will still be getting the undivided attention of whatever audience is in attendance, but what the hell is the logic here? What are the qualifications to be a main stage band? Ashes Divide, I can understand. Billy Howerdel is great. His work with A Perfect Circle was great and there is a lot of excitment about his new project. I suspect the record will end up doing pretty well. Armor For Sleep certainly shouldn't be on the main stage, but I'll give them a pass on this one because they don't offend the senses with the commitment of a band like The Bravery.

I don't make any secret about my personal love for 10 Years, but even objectively I can see that this doesn't make sense. 'Wasteland' was a huge single that charted for months and still gets a ton of airplay. Their new single 'Beautiful' is already surpassing the success of their first hit and that will probably be true for the album, too. 'The Autumn Effect' did well and they have been playing massive shows across the globe for 3 years now. It seems unfair to put them on the side stage when they are the biggest rock band on the tour, second only to the tour creators Linkin Park.

The only coverage I have seen about this year's lineup is a discussion about the lack of rappers. The explanation they gave was a good one- there aren't any rappers we want that are available. I would love to hear an explanation for what IS in the lineup and how exactly it was determined that THE BRAVERY is a bigger band than 10 Years. You gotta be kidding me.
