leaving Stern is not just for listeners anymore!
Artie Lange, the fat drunken sidekick of Howard Stern, has quit the satellite radio program following an on-air altercation with his personal assistant. The argument started over passport arrangements for an upcoming trip to Amsterdam and ended with the amazingly unfunny comedian telling his assistant on the air that he hopes he dies of AIDS.
Stern took a surprisingly diplomatic stance regarding the ordeal, calling for everyone to cool down and told Lange he couldn't condone his behavior. Perhaps if he had said it while teabagging a midget dressed like a baby, Stern could have gotten on board. Artie offered his resignation and Stern accepted.
Hey, the first interesting show Stern has had in 15 years! How 'bout that.
