New single ‘Boys’ and new tour dates

Following the fantastic reaction to recent single ‘Talk About You’ (which received plays on BBC Radio 1 & 2, 6 Music, a playlist on XFM culminating with a vibrant live session with Janice Long on BBC Radio 2), one of the hottest up and coming live acts in the country The Maybes? release new single ‘Boys’ on June 16th 2008 through Xtra Mile Recordings.

‘Boys’ is a melodic celebration, a powerful electrifying story, delivering the spirit and fever of a British Saturday Night. The sound of a band in their element, it is the perfect mix of razor edged pop and floor filling dance. The second single from their Debut album ‘Promise’ ‘Boys’ is a wonderful example of the lyrical and musical diversity this band has to offer.

The eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Promise’ is due for release in September 2008. A fiery explosion of emotion-driven pop, contemporary narrative and dance euphoria. This is a record that showcases the band’s roots and influences as well as their incredible musical flair. Their songwriting talent has been honed by internationally revered producer Head, whose production duties include PJ Harvey and Massive Attack. Together they have created a modern musical concept of romance, heartbreak and the human condition. A beautiful vision!
