Debut Double A Side Single ‘Demon Rebel/Let The Sun’ hardcopy released 16th of June through Garston Records, Download available 23rd of June and tour dates
Them Is Me are fast establishing themselves as one of the best new bands on the UK music scene. Following the break up of the much loved Reef, bassist Jack Bessant and vocalist Gary Stringer took a break from music until they started jamming together again in 2005 and putting together new material. An intensive period of songwriting ensued and after being joined by guitarist Jonas Jalhay (ex Lady Sovereign) and drummer Nathan Curran (ex Bassment Jaxx), Them Is Me were formed. Having played a few select gigs around the UK to great critical acclaim and winning the hearts of new fans as well as the old lovers of Reef, the band are now ready to release debut double A side single ‘Demon Rebel/Let The Sun’ through Garston Records. A fast paced anthem of fiery romance and jagged words ‘Demon Rebel’ combines big, classic rock riffs with sharp, to the point, punky delivery. ‘Let The Sun’ Is a slower paced but equally powerful blend of fist clenching rock and roll and bitter sweet vocal harmonies. Combined together the two tracks are a mission statement from a band hell bent on getting back to doing what they know and love best.
Due for release 23rd of June, the band’s self titled debut album looks set to be a genre defying masterpiece. Whilst firmly keeping in touch with their classic rock roots that were the shape of the sound of Reef, the band are now drawing on influences from many different musical styles, mixing in what they know best with something a little different.
