Amy Ray Launches Online TV Station Offering Exclusive Footage

Amy Ray Launches Online TV Station Offering Exclusive Footage

Exclusive Live Performances, Interviews, And More

To celebrate the upcoming release of her third solo record, Didn’t It Feel Kinder, Atlanta-based singer-songwriter, and one half of the Indigo Girls, Amy Ray has launched an online TV station for fans both old and new. The appropriately-named Amy Ray TV affords Amy the opportunity to connect directly with her fans via chats, behind the scenes footage, and glimpses into the songs that comprise one of her most raw and raucous records, a departure not only from her work with Indigo Girls, but from her previous solo output as well. Currently, the channel features dispatches from stops on the Indigo Girls US tour, footage from a forthcoming live DVD, and tourmate-assisted performances of Ray’s new material – namely a gorgeous Brandi Carlile-aided rendition of “Stand and Deliver.”

Over the next month, the channel will play host to several live chat sessions with fans, and a very special interview conducted by the other half of the Indigo Girls, Emily Saliers. What’s more, starting 10 days before the album’s release, Ray will perform one track from Didn’t It Feel Kinder every day, giving fans a chance to preview the entire record in an intimate setting, and from the comfort of their computer chairs. And speaking of intimate settings, Ray will also be streaming a very special performance from New York’s Housing Works called “Live From Home With Amy Ray” on August 6th. What The Press Says About Amy Ray:

“…a wide, Southern-gothic sound, its jangly guitars washing the dark subject matter of her love-and-gender-issues song cycle in joyful sunlight.” - Entertainment Weekly

“…lively, spirited songs… [Ray sounds] like a female Joe Strummer.”Paste
