The start of 2008 has been a whirlwind for Outcry Collective. With their debut release the ‘Pay Per View Love’ EP released late last year to critical acclaim, the band have been building their profile. With press coverage, backing from a number of radio stations (Radio 1 - Dan P Carter and Zane Lowe, BBC 6 Music – Bruce Dickinson, and Kerrang! Radio) and a dedicated and swelling fanbase, the band have dedicated themselves to doing what they do best in the early part of 2008 – touring, and lots of it.
With over 60 shows to their name so far in 2008 alone, the band have forged out a reputation of one of the must see, and hardest working bands around right now. Tours with likes of Maylene and The Sons of Disaster (Ferret), A Day To Remember (Victory), 1000 Hertz (In At The Deep End), as well as three headline tours of their own, the band have honed their intense live show to perfection.
This summer has seen the touring continue with the band linking up with Exeter punks and good friends The Computers (Freakscene Records) during the last 2 weeks, to celebrate their next release - the ‘New Franchise Mess’ single. The song, lifted from the EP, perfectly showcases what Outcry Collective are all about - Insanely addictive melodies matched up with riff heavy intensity and attitude.
The single will be available exclusively for free download as a gesture to old fans and new alike, and will see a couple of new B-sides thrown into the mix. Firstly a new track, live favorite ‘Attention Please’ sees the band take up the intensity level a notch, and at nearly 6 minutes is nothing short of epic. Second is a remix of the lead track, by hotly tipped Londoner’s, The Ghost Frequency, who as self professed fans of the band have taken their own unique approach to interpreting their sound.
With their debut album set to drop in early 2009, Outcry Collective will undoubtedly establish themselves as one of the UK’s finest heavy acts, so make sure you check them out now while they are one of the countries brightest new hopes!
