Major League Baseball's Batting For Charity Continues Achievements at Rothbury Music Festival Participants Included 311, Colby Caillat, STS9, And More
Major League Baseball is proud to announce another successful installment of Batting for Charity. All-Stars like Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton weren't the only people cracking bombs this July. At the Rothbury Music festival in Michigan both artists and fans got in on the action and participated in Rothbury's Music in Schools Program charity by stepping up to the plate in a partnership between the MLB Authentic Collection and Gibson Guitar.
Prior to the festival, Major League Baseball pledged to make a donation to the Rothbury Music in Schools Program for every hit an artist picked up in the cage. In addition, any Rothbury attendee visiting the MLB Road Show batting cages would contribute to the donation simply by stepping up to the plate.
Over the course of the weekend many fans and artists took a swing for charity including performers 311, Colby Caillat, and STS9.
