Last month
Amy Ray launched an online TV station to celebrate the upcoming release of her third solo record,
Didn’t It Feel Kinder. Since launching the channel, the Atlanta-based singer-songwriter has offered her audience a grab bag of mini-shows –
footage from the current Indigo Girls US tour,
clips from her upcoming live DVD, and a
tour bus performance of “Stand and Deliver” assisted by
Brandi Carlile. But the most compelling content is just now hitting the airwaves. Last week, Amy’s Indigo Girls bandmate
Emily Saliers sat down to
chat with Amy about her upcoming record. And
starting on Sunday night, Amy began an ambitious one-song-a-day ramp up to the August 5th release of
Didn’t It Feel Kinder. Ten tracks, ten days, ten acoustic performances, kicking off with a
rendition of “Cold Shoulder” on Sunday, and a
performance of “She’s Got To Be” on Monday.
