Hollywood Undead are masked in mystery, literally, and now their MySpace dons the same veil. The band’s fanatical community of 400,000+ MySpace friends will find a blacked out profile that simply reads, “Welcome To The Party! 9.02.08. Get The Real Sh!t At www.HollywoodUndead.com.” Those who head outside of MySpace and to HollywoodUndead.com are rewarded with the premiere of Hollywood Undead’s official video for “No. 5.”

The video, like the lyrics, for the first single off Swan Songs dissects the frivolities of Hollywood and captures the grit, grime and lesser known realities of a city normally cloaked in a façade of glitz and glamour. But don’t look to Hollywood Undead to be all choked up over it, the band uses wit, mystery and, of course, girls to paint the scene.

“Undead” is a solid track, but don’t you think they sound a bit contrived? and outdated for that matter?

I hyped Hollywood Undead on Everhype.com and gave them 64% which I think is fairly accurate.
