No Reason Given
"Hello there everybody. Greetings from the land of Cartel. We were hoping that the next news post we brought you would be full of good news but, unfortunately, it is not. We are forced to cancel our trip to the UK next month. It sucks. All our UK peeps will probably be mad but, we're in the middle of re-scheduling so that we can hopefully get back over there later this year. We had a great time with Plain White T's and Boys Like Girls. Can't wait to give it another shot at headlining the UK. Who knows....maybe we'll have some new material to jam this time.
As for our stateside fans, we had a great time on our college/mini-tour. We hope you all got to come and hang with us before we hit the studio for some new tracks. We're looking forward to getting back out there and rockin' face again soon. Until then, stay tuned for some exciting things coming up. (I know we've said this for a while but trust me it's coming.)"
Take care everyone...

We know a lot of you have been wondering where Cameron has been these past couple of shows. Well, we are ready to officially let all of you know (even though we figure most of you already do). Cameron Keym has left The Sleeping. We wish him the best of luck with whatever he does in life, wether it is music or not.
We are now ready to write for the next record. We took some time off to re-group and focused on learning to play shows without Cameron and we have realized that it isn't impossible. We are ready to write the next record. We have been trying many different things and we are very excited to release some much needed "release." We just want to show love to all of our fans and thank you all for hanging in there and giving us your love and support at these past couple of shows. We wouldn't be ANYWHERE without you.
Now before some of you start to think anything negative.... here it goes:
We ARE NOT breaking up!! As you can tell, we have played shows with friends helping us o |

MOVE ANTICIPATED CD “SAINTS OF LOS ANGELES” TO JUNE 24TH
CRÜE FEST, THE SUMMER’S LOUDEST SHOW ON EARTH, KICKS OFF JULY 1ST
Los Angeles, CA (May 12, 2008) – Inspired by the energy and experience of their performance with their Crüe Fest cohorts Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. and Trapt at the press conference to announce the upcoming mega-tour, Mötley Crüe extended the production for their upcoming CD, returning to the studio this week to record one more track for the highly-anticipated album Saints of Los Angeles. The first new studio album recorded with all of the original band members in over a decade, Saints of Los Angeles will now be released on June 24th. Lyrically, the new album follows the story of the band’s NY Times best-selling memoir The Dirt, a no-holds-barred tell-all that features every gritty detail of the group’s exploits as one of the world’s biggest rock bands.
Since its release, “Saints Of Los Angeles” has been one of the fastest growing songs at Rock Radio since it was serviced and is already #7 on the Media Ba |
It’s been 15 years since the release of the groundbreaking Exile in Guyville – and Liz Phair is marking the occasion by returning to her roots. Phair recently signed with the independent label ATO Records, which will release a special 15th anniversary edition of her landmark debut album on June 24th and her new studio album in the fall.
Exile in Guyville, which was out of print, will be available on CD, vinyl and – for the first time ever – in digital format. The special reissue package will include four never-before-released songs from the original recording sessions: “Ant in Alaska,” with Phair simply accompanying herself on guitar, “Wild Thing,” wherein she uses the melody and central line of The Troggs’ 1966 #1 hit as a jumping off point for an otherwise all-original song, “Say You,” which features Phair and a full band, and an untitled instrumental with Liz on guitar. Phair has also just completed a new, 60-minute DVD, “Guyville Redux,” for the reissue.

'Reasons Not To Be An Idiot'
Following the recent successes of second album ‘Love Ire & Song’ which reached Number 5 in the UK Indie Chart in March; Frank Turner announces details of his forthcoming single ‘Reasons Not To Be An Idiot’.
Out on 23rd June through Xtra Mile Recordings, ‘Reasons Not To Be An Idiot’ is a foot-tappingly catchy and joyous ol’sing-a-long that is uplifting, inspiring and more importantly rocks face. A definite live favourite, the song was welcomed like a long lost friend by the heaving crowds on his recent sold out UK tour. At the heavier, rockier end of the folk spectrum, ‘Reasons…’ illustrates Frank’s incredible song-writing ability and mass cross-over appeal.
It’s a crossover appeal further illustrated by the fact that not only will Frank be supporting pals The Holloways on their tour of the nation’s universities throughout May but this summer Frank will be playing a truck load of music festivals including 2 sets at this year’s Glastonbury and must be the only artist confirmed f |
Earlier this week, Northern Hyperblasters Kataklysm premiered the video for "Taking The World By Storm" on MySpace Metal. The gritty performance clip was shot and directed by MyGoodEye honcho David Brodsky, whose other work includes videos for Soilent Green, Pig Destroyer and a host of other noiseniks. The track is pulled from the group's upcoming ninth studio album, Prevail, which is set to be released May 27th via Nuclear Blast and has already netted tons of praise from the folks at Decibel, Brave Words, Metal Maniacs and Metal Hammer, who called it “the best death metal record of 2008.” Both the video’s directors and Kataklysm vocalist Maurizio Iacono weighed in on the experience and the triumphant finished product:
KATAKLYSM vocalist Maurizio Iacono states:
“It was a true pleasure to work with David on this video, his level of professionalism is outstanding and his vision is great. We had fun filming this video although we froze our fucking balls off for 12 hours! Dav |
