No one ever thought they'd see Led Zeppelin play again... but there they were, onstage in London last November. Now the Chipmunks—who cover Led Zep's “Rock and Roll” on their new album Undeniable—follow suit with a surprise reunion of their own. After a difficult weeklong estrangement, America's favorite musical squeakers welcome longtime frontman Alvin back into the fold. The Chipmunks can once again be known as Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Rumored to be fielding movie and television show offers in the wake of 2007's box office smash Alvin and the Chipmunks (and its accompanying Top 5 soundtrack), Alvin took his hula hoop and vanished without warning just after the band completed UNDENIABLE. Stone Temple Pilots are currently being sued by their label home Atlantic Records over a record that hasn't even been made yet. Scott Weiland and drummer Eric Kretz had been rubbing labels the wrong way by publicly and privately saying they do not want to release under the Warner Music Group until some serious changes are made. They have not recorded an album together in 5 years and while they seem excited to get started, they have some demands. The label has responded through filing papers. Is STP being sued into silence? Absolutely not. The label is actually demanding they release more albums under the label.

Under One Sky is an hour-long vocal and instrumental suite by the Scottish multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer John McCusker, performed by a dozen of Britain’s finest musicians including Roddy Woomble and Graham Coxon.
Originally a joint commission by the PRS Foundation, the Scottish Arts Council and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Under One Sky sets out to explore and interweave the many different traditions, genres and influences at work across today’s dynamic UK folk scene. Bringing together an array of established and emerging talent from both sides of the Border, McCusker’s hand-picked ensemble includes Blur co-founder Graham Coxon , Idlewild vocalist Roddy Woomble and acclaimed Gaelic songstress Julie Fowlis. Through this relationship, Auditude provides the opportunity for advertising to be inserted across a suite of MTV Networks’ most popular video content uploaded to MySpace, including clips from MTV and COMEDY CENTRAL, among others. This agreement enables all parties – publishers, content owners, advertisers, and fans – to benefit from the organic distribution of premium video on the Web.
