CITY AND COLOUR Set Out On First U.S. Tour

In Support Of The Critically Acclaimed "Bring Me Your Love"

WHO: Juno Award winning City and Colour embark on a cross country trek in support of February 08 release “Bring Me Your Love.” Featured as “Pick of the Week” at Starbucks in Austin, TX leading up to his Austin City Limits appearance, City and Colour was also chosen as the first Starbucks Canada “Pick of the Week.” You may recall, the first-ever City and Colour shows in N.Y.C. and L.A. March, 2008, sold-out 6 weeks in advance, so now is your chance to catch him again!

A throwback to the days when an album’s thrills and beauty were found not just in exceptional songs and musicianship, but also in its blemishes and simplicity, the instruments and vocals for “Bring Me Your Love” were carefully recorded live off the floor, giving the songs depth and intimacy, and eschewing the cut-and-paste approach that is so common in today’s recordings.

WHAT: Green, who until a couple of years ago was better know as the dulcet voice of Alexisonfire, released his debut album “Sometimes” Read more

Rachael Yamagata: Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart

A RECORD IN TWO PARTS: ELEPHANTS...TEETH SINKING INTO HEART IN STORES OCTOBER 7, 2008

Three years after she began to appear on the public’s radar with her self-titled debut EP and full-length album Happenstance, Rachael Yamagata will release A Record in Two Parts: Elephants…Teeth Sinking Into Heart through Warner Bros. Records on October 7, 2008. “I didn’t set out to make a two part album,” Yamagata says. “We just followed the songs’ lyrical lead and built them up with textures and sounds that served the story. The beautiful ones were darker and worked with lush arrangements. We used the sounds of rain, tree branches falling on the roof — whatever kept the mood true to this haunted studio in the first stormy days of spring. The second part became more anthemic, like a reclaiming of personal power. There’s something raw about it. To me it sounds weathered, but not broken or cynical.”

Taken together, the two halves present a complete timeline of the emotions that revolve around complicated relationships and the accompanying fallout. “Elephants is much more intimate Read more

Street Drum Corps Extend Tour Past Projekt Revolution!

From John Bonham to Clyde Stubblefield to ?uestlove, the drum has always been the backbone of any successful group. Hell, go further back in time, when drums were at the center of any tribal ritual. It’s carnal. Primeval. A good song hits you in the head. A good beat nails you in the stomach. So in an era of squeaky-clean, technologically-enhanced and polished production, Los Angeles’ Street Drum Corps (SDC) are more important than ever.

Bobby Alt, Adam Alt and Frank Zummo are currently taking the nation by storm playing the mainstage of the Projekt Revolution Tour and then joining Linkin Park on stage for their headlining perfomance. And due to popular demand SDC will be adding a few dates on their own to keep the party going! And for all the behind the scenes mayhem, check out this Projekt Revolution Webisode HERE

"When (Linkin Park vocalist) Chester (Bennington) and I saw them, they had to be on the tour...these guys are little punks. I love their attitude."- Mike Shinod Read more
