EUROPEAN TOUR WILL CONTINUE
Bill Kelliher, guitarist with Atlanta-based heavy rock band MASTODON has been hospitalized in London as of Nov. 3, during the bands current European Unholy Alliance Chapter 3 package tour. Doctors will continue to monitor his condition which is improving at press time.
At the moment, Mastodon has decided to continue on the tour as a trio. Doctors and Bill are hopeful that he will rejoin his band mates in time for their headlining tour of Europe which begins Nov 30, in Utrecht, Holland and will end on Dec 7, at the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in Somerset, England. This major UK tour and free download marks the end of a highly successful year for the band who have returned to the music scene refreshed and re-energised after the tragic death of Steve Roberts, the band‘s guitarist and brother of founder member Greg Dread, in 2006.

Rock music has inherently been place to bad band names.
Shiema was born out of shared interests, a reference to an underground skater, Brian Sheima, which a dyslexic bassist could not spell right in his own email address. Having bad name was a way to prove yourself and have more conviction in what you do and the same goes for the sound of the band.
With what at first seems like similar influences to the majority of young bands out there, Shiema is one of those which stuck out like a sort thumb, always the bunch of kids who were the square block trying to fit into the circle hole.
‘Make Them Swing ‘till it hurts’ is a combination of the more pop end of their sound with small nuances of the other spectrum of their influence from Faith No More, Living Colour to The Police. As I Am Ghost hit UK shores with their hard-hitting dark post-hardcore in December, they’ll also be releasing the first UK single to be lifted from recent sophomore album, Those We Leave Behind. The crushing Bone Garden is a great representation of the album’s seamless melding of metal, melodic-hardcore and scream elements. Sweeping sing-along choruses are also integrated to startling effect.
Recorded with producer Paul Leavitt (Senses Fail, The Bled, Circa Survive) in Baltimore, MD, Those We Leave Behind contains fourteen turbulent tracks of brooding passion-fuelled rock infused with monstrously accessible hooks and Bone Garden is no exception.
After a line-up change in late 2007, Steve Juliano (vocals) along with Timoteo Rosales III (guitars), Ron Ficarro (bass) and Justin McCarthy (drums) have re-focused the band’s direction, returning to the powerful raw rock that inspired them to make music in the first place.

LONDON SHOWS ANNOUNCED FOR LATE NOVEMBER
Norway’s Lukestar will be heading to the London for a string of dates later this month. One of the dates will be a showcase of the famous Øya festival which took place in August of this year. Featuring on that bill alongside Lukestar will be Red Light Company, Casiokids and Animal Kingdom.
Lukestar’s sound is an otherworldly one; taking as much inspiration from Medieval mythical creatures as they do from post rock. An ethereal labyrinth of melodies, their sound is saturated with towering vocals and an ambience akin to Blonde Redhead, Sigur Ros with the pop sensibilities of early Weezer.

Tin Soldiers release their second single, Wait For You, on 17th November 2008.
Wait For You follows the band’s recent single release 24 Hours. The song cements the bands skill for writing memorable and appealing music. There is an epic rock feel to this release, and a big chorus, that Tin Soldiers fans will certainly brand as anthemic.

FULL BLOWN CHAOS have joined the upcoming Santa Slaughter 2008 tour which kicks off in Hasselt, Belgium on November 28, 2008.
The Brooklyn bruisers will replace As Blood Runs Black who are unable to tour due to recent line up problems. Bury Your Dead and Emmure are the other featured bands with a bunch of others joining for different stretches of the three week jaunt.

After a difficult weeklong estrangement, America's favorite musical squeakers welcome longtime frontman Alvin back into the fold. The Chipmunks can once again be known as Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Rumored to be fielding movie and television show offers in the wake of 2007's box office smash Alvin and the Chipmunks (and its accompanying Top 5 soundtrack), Alvin took his hula hoop and vanished without warning just after the band completed UNDENIABLE.
