Fresh from their highly anticipated sophomore album debuting at #2 in the UK charts back in March, things have shown no sign of slowly down for the band. “Nine In The Afternoon” and “That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)” proved to be follow-up hits to the band’s platinum-selling debut despite being a departure from their previous sound. To celebrate the release of Cancer Bats’ new single ‘Lucifer’s Rocking Chair’, Hassle Records will be releasing a series of podcasts through iTunes based on the Seven Deadly Sins. The seven week series will see frontman Liam Cormier discussing a different sin each time (Sloth, Gluttony, Greed, Pride, Lust, Wrath and Envy), and relating it to being in the full-time, full-on touring juggernaut that is Cancer Bats. ‘Lucifer’s Rocking Chair’ will be released as a digital download on Monday 3rd November, and the first podcast will also be available from that day, with further installments falling on 10th, 17th and 24th of November and 1st, 8th and 15th December.

Space-rock cadets The Frontier Brothers will be appeared this morning on Earth-based morning television show Good Day Austin. The appearance kicked off the Brothers' first-ever West Coast tour. Laying much of their sophisticated space technology aside, the band used traditional instrumentation to perform "Jump Blues" and "Star Globes and Stereo" from debut album Space Punk Starlet. There’s no disputing the fact that it’s been a crazy year or so for Leeds rockers The Pigeon Detectives. In that time they’ve played support slots with Dirty Pretty Things and Kaiser Chiefs and released a brace of Top Five albums – and with a UK tour planned for the end of the year the band continue to fly high.
Fans turning out for the tour dates across the country will experience the sound of the Detectives courtesy of a full complement of Audio-Technica microphones, thanks to a recently signed endorsement deal. A total of 26 mics will be used for everything from drums to vocals, including five AE4100 vocal mics, five ATM450 models for snare, hi-hat and overheads and a quartet of AE3000s for toms and guitar.
In addition to the microphone array being used on stage, The Pigeon Detectives also rely on Audio-Technica headphones in the shape of the ATH-M50 and go cable-free with the ATW-3110A guitar wireless system.

Despite only settling in the UK's capital a few short years ago (the band's inception was in frontman Piet & guitarist Kevins native South Africa), the quartet have already developed into a startling proposition. The All-American Rejects have just premiered the video for explosive single “Gives You Hell” on Yahoo! Music. Directed by Marc Webb, the video was described by the band as a neighborly quarrel between two completely opposite households, the square versus the raucous rockers, both of which have front-man Tyson Ritter as the head of the house.
