Tom Cruise got Comedy Central to cancel Wednesday night's South Park episode about Scientology by warning that he'd refuse to promote Mission Impossible 3, insiders say. Since Paramount is banking on MI3 to make money this summer, and Paramount is owned by Viacom, which also owns Comedy Central, the tactic worked. The South Park episode - which pokes fun at Scientology and shows Cruise, John Travolta and R. Kelly - was mysteriously pulled at the last minute.

Well thank goodness Tom got the episode pulled; otherwise people might start thinking Scientology was weird or something. I don't know at what point Tom became such a jackass, though it's a well known fact that short people are intrinsically evil and must be destroyed. Hey, it's right there in the Bible, right after the part where Jesus flies around around the Earth to reverse time and save Lois.

As Cartman would say, "WEAK". South Park pokes fun at everything. That is the beauty of the show. They have made fun of everyone. I am sure people get pissed, but to have it cancelled that is just lame!!

Hahaha classic. Fair play Tom Cruise has been in the news alot lately and it seems the more in the newes he gets, the weirder he becomes. Can't wait for the next piece of Cruise news.

He probably lost loads of South Park fans that might have gone to see his new movie. Too bad!!

is anyone else loving the tom cruise breakdown? i mean that guy has totally lost it and now no one will work with him! i freakin love it.

What's up with Tom Cruise again? Seems like he's always in the new for Scientology. It's like pulling his career down the drain. I think he's a pretty good actor but the Scientology thing is giving him a bad rep.

Each to his own i guess. No matter what celebs do they will get bad press anyway. Magazines and Newspapers always change the way people are perceived.
