Occasionally, it can be difficult to find creativity in a genre such as metal; where the emphasism in songwriting is usually placed upon sheer brute force and the notion of fitting in with the music of peers in order to earn respect and credibility. Rugby boys Lavondyss however, seem to have completely disregarded this pattern and have basically made a record that they themselves might want to listen to in their cars; and good for them. Without want of sounding like someones dad, the problem with metal these days is that thousands of talented bands are lost in time and overlooked simply because they believe that creating music that is popular will make them successful. Wrong. Making music that is GOING to be popular will make you successful, hence why Lavondyss are signed to a credible label and they are not. Upon creating music that they love, Lavondyss' ignorance means that they have been able to see through the stereotypes and expectation of what metal 'should' consist of and have instead, been able to find opportunities to find space to put their own stamp on the genre.

From the straight-up ball busting brutality of opener '...Meanwhile... Back On Earth...' to tracks where the focus is on harmony such as 'For Future Reference' and the simply titled closing track '00:00', this record has a lot to offer to the listener, yet perhaps more importantly, to other bands who care to give it the attention that it deserves.

Whilst still managing to be as raw as metal bands come yet as musically talented and diverse within the genre as possible, Lavondyss are a band to respect.
