I have to say straight from the off that Electro Pop really isn't my kind of thing at all. To me it says this band is all about style and no content. With all the right hair do's, shades and simple neon pink and blue colours KOVAK did nothing to make me think any different.

The currently untitled album by Kovak produced by Andy Gray (co-writer of the big brother theme) is all I would expect from this kind of album and unexpectedly a little more.

Musically I don't think it’s anything special and more than a few of their tracks reminded me of other pop bands, the guitars especially. I like Abby Harmonies vocals though, sexy and sultry with great power and projection, must have been a joy to record. I even liked their Blondie cover with it’s over saturated vocal. Her sound gives this band a bit of an edge to it which is sorely needed.

The band however is ticking all the right boxes to get ahead. Female fronted, latest fashions, named producer, own club night in Brighton, well recorded album sampler with some solid catchy tunes on it.

I would expect them to do big things even though I'm not all that impressed.
