‘I Can’t Help Myself’, taken from The Bookhouse Boys self-titled debut album, is three minutes of frenzied entertainment. Paul Van Oestrens distinctively dark vocals permeate the track, but the fast-paced nature of the song ensures that there is no melancholy to be found here. In fact, quite the opposite. It’s fun, addictive and toe-tappingly irresistible.
The frantic lyrical delivery, pounding rhythm and punkish elements of the song make it one of the most catchiest tracks around at the moment. Like it or not, ‘I Can’t Help Myself’ is guaranteed to get stuck in your head for hours on end...
