From the title of the this four track EP, you'd probably be thinking this was a new Ska/Punk band, however you couldn't be more wrong. Droney 'Isis' style grooves and heavy guitars evoke an 'Oceansize' aural landscape, with tight drums and spacey 'floydesque' clean sections. The only let down are the random horns that appear half way through 'Human Fly', they don't fit with the style at all and pretty much ruin an otherwise great track.
The vocals follow in the same vein. Gruff and grungy mumblings that don't really fit with the music at all. The lyrics are simple and repetitive and make the EP very one dimensional. Mister Manana have shown some great promise musically but with this singer and the stupid EP name/artwork they won't be blowing up anytime soon.
