Don't Stop was released as the first single from the Innerpartysystem self titled debut album. Originally released on 30th June 2008 it got to #153 in the British charts which is fairly decent for what was [at the time] an unheard of band. It seems that the Innerpartysystem boy's aren't content with this chart position and are re-releasing Don't Stop as [in the seven months since the initial release] they have relentlessly toured the UK and have chalked up thousands of new UK fans. Either that, or the Royal Mail really and truly screwed up with this one and delivered the promo CD to us seven months after it's release!

As a big fan of the Innerpartysytem debut album I am familiar with all the songs off of it and find myself listening to it quite often. It is also quite blatant which are the singles on the self titled album and, Don't Stop is of course one of them. Don't Stop is an upbeat dancy number that will quickly and easily showcase all the facets of Innerpartysystem in one song for the people that aren't familiar with them. It shows the trippy, drugged up sound that they sometimes drop to, and the most upbeat dance based rock chorus that you could ever expect. Don't Stop is also full of nice new digital effects that will have you wondering how that was achieved. Innerpartysystem are a modern band, using modern technology for a modern crowd. Now that doesn't mean they will only appeal to kids, far from it. It means that you have to be geek chic to fully appreciate Innerpartysystem. If gadgets, musical technology and granular synthesis turn you on, then so will Innerpartysystem.

Don't Stop is a very ego-centric track with lines such as "The road I walk is paved in gold, to glorify my platinum soul" and, "I am the closest thing to god, so worship me, and never stop". Oh really? Your band are good, but by no means are you any form of god! Get off your high horse please so I can beat you with my realism stick. Regardless of some of the rather dubious lyrical content I do find Don't Stop a very entertaining track. From the heavy 16th hi-hat beat of the pre-chorus to the tripped out, drug induced breakdown there is something for everyone to enjoy with Don't Stop and it definitely takes you on a musical journey. If however you can't get your head around the idea of a rock / dance band then Innerpartysystem might not be for you.

Most important of all is the quality of Innerpartysystem's live show. Even if, after listening to the self titled album you proclaim yourself to not be a fan I must still advise you to go and check out their live show. Their sound engineer is as much an integral member of the band as the rest of the guys and he contently slams in live granular synthesis and electronic effects with the greatest of ease. Innerpartysystem are a must see live band. If you are into music production in any way as it will open your mind up to the lack of limits that live music truly possesses as long as the appropriate time and thought has gone into it. Hopefully Innerpartysystem's next single will be One Night in Brooklyn as it is my favourite track off the self titled Innerpartysystem album.

Still can't get into these, production wise it's pretty intense but that singing does my sweede in.
